Are you a Chinese national interested in a PhD using fish?
Applications for fully-funded scholarships from the China Scholarship Council and University of Bristol will be open again for a September 2027 start. Success rates are high if you're eligible. Please contact me in advance if you're interested in applying and eligible. I have ideas for specific PhD projects, but I am also happy to develop a project with the candidate that relates any of our research areas, which include:
Animal collective behaviour
Predator-prey interactions
Environmental stressors and their interaction with behaviour
Invasive species
Animal personality
Last year the deadline for the first stage of getting offered a place at the University of Bristol was 1 December 2025, so expect something similar in 2026. More information and how to apply is here.
