It’s that time of year again when we advertise PhD projects! After the success of funding and recruiting Toby Champneys through the new NERC FRESH Centre for Doctoral Training scheme, we’re advertising another project for competitive funding in this scheme and looking for a top candidate to put forward. The project has a very applied aspect, like Toby’s, but is quite different:

Predator-prey interactions under near-future environmental change: The combined effects of increasing temperature and turbidity

It’s in collaboration with the excellent Freshwater Habitats Trust¬†and involves a mix of lab work in Bristol and field work in Trinidad (pictured above), plus some modelling. You can also get details of the project here.
