One for your diaries: we’re hosting the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB) Easter meeting 14-16th April 2021.
ASAB‘s Easter meeting is aimed at research students and early career researchers, and is hosted by a different UK institution each year. After it was unfortunately cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19, we’re planning for all eventualities. We and ASAB recognise that especially for PG students and ECRs, the opportunity to develop professional networks and to interact with and support peers is critical, and this more ‘social’ side of virtual meetings has not yet caught up with the benefits that we can get from meeting in real life. Therefore, we intend that the Easter meeting will be held in person, but as you’ll realise, what the situation will be in April 2021 is currently a great unknown. Following on from this summer’s successful ASAB virtual meeting, we are confident that if necessary, we can host this meeting virtually at very short notice, so please be assured that the meeting WILL proceed in one form or another!
We have two fantastic plenaries lined up:
Prof. Jens Krause, Humboldt University and the Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries, Berlin
Dr Josefin Sundin, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Stockholm
Currently this page is just for information until we have a proper meeting website where you can register and submit an abstract. But in the mean time, check out the brilliant society that is ASAB and all the cool things they do to advance the study of the most interesting science there is (in my humble opinion…).
